A Marathon Tip from Jerry Dunn - America's Marathon Man
The marathon is more than just running 26.2 miles. It is a commitment to a way of life... (at least for the duration of the training and the running
of the event). It is a very personal learning process. The marathon allows you to discover "who you are" from more than just a physical perspective. The emotional and spiritual aspects of
"marathoning" are equally as much a part of the process as the physical. The marathon requires commitment, self-discipline, progressive levels of achievement, reflection, self-analysis, and some blood,
sweat, and tears. (Tears of both toil and triumph.)
My advice to all marathon runners, from rookie to racer:
Embrace the experience!
